The Mechanical Engineering Intern position is an engaging and creative medical device product and process development role.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist with design, installation, and validation of ISO Class 7 cleanroom equipment and processes
• Develop and implement design controls and perform related activities
• Brainstorm, prototype, test, create specs, DFM, pilot testing
• Bench verification testing, analysis, and documentation
• Usability engineering, clinical feedback gathering, surgical case support, and user validation
• Research, data visualization, project reviews, and other responsibilities as needed
• Design and engineering of equipment for use in the operating room during surgery
• Design and implement systems for electromechanical assembly and processes
• Assist with design, installation, and validation of packaging and testing equipment
• Internal quality process improvement and audit support
• Create and update digital work instructions for cleanroom and ESD controlled assembly
Additional opportunities for assistance with graphic design, interactive design, video production, trade shows, clinical demonstration labs, and other events.
Qualifications:
Pursuing an engineering degree with interest in Medical Devices.
Experience with mechanical design, product design, SolidWorks, UI/UX, software testing, user testing, C++, prototyping, electrical design, and quality systems preferred but not required.
